The Strategy

Windhoek Beer had launched the search for South Africa’s best Shisanyama to be enjoyed alongside their 100% Pure Beer. Nominated by South Africans and selected by South African chef & TV Personality, Chef Benny Masekwameng, together with popular DJs from radio stations, Metro FM, Umhlobo Wenene, and Ukhozi FM.

The last event Shisanyama Showdown event took place on the 10th of December. The invite-only event was an explosion of delicious flavors & tastes, live entertainment featuring Mo Flava, Black Motion ft. Nokwazi, Samthing Soweto, and more, all brought together by the taste of Windhoek 100% Pure Beer, giving consumers attending an ultimate experience.

From the top eight finalists, it was Busy Corner Imbizo Shisanyama that took the crown. The winner walked away with half a million rand and bragging rights.

The Duma Collective team provided the brand and event with Talent Procurement and Social Media & Influencers services. A team of influencers was gathered to create awareness and hype leading up to the last event, to invite guests to the last event, and to post live on social media during the event.
