The Strategy

Windhoek Beer had launched the search for South Africa’s best Shisanyama and to be enjoyed alongside their 100% Pure Beer. Nominated by south Africans and selected by South African chef & TV Personality, Chef Benny Masekwameng, together with popular DJ’s from radio stations, Metro FM, Umhlobo Wenene and Ukhozi FM.  

The final event Shisanyama showdown event took place on the 10th of December. The invite-only event was an explosion of delicious flavours & tastes, live entertainment featuring: Mo Flava, Black Motion ft. Nokwazi, Soweto Samthing and more, all brought together by the taste of Windhoek 100% Pure Beer, giving consumers attending an ultimate experience.  

From the top eight finalists it was Busy Corner Imbizo Shisanyama that took the crown. The winner walked away with half a million rand and bragging rights.  

The Duma Collective team provided the brand and event with Talent Procurement as well as Social Media & Influencers. A team of influencers were gathered to create awareness and hype leading up to the final event, to invite guests to the final event, as well as to post live on social media during the event.
