The Strategy

On the 9th of April 2017, Nickelodeon hosted the Durban leg of Slimefest. Duma Collective was brought in to assist with event consultancy services, social media & influencer services, talent hospitality logisitics and offering stage management services which included acquiring of brand fitting artists such as, The Kniffness Cassper Nyovest and Emtee, as well as ensuring efficient logistics that accommodated all stakeholder involved.

As part of the social media campaign, which ran for six days, popular Durban celebrity influencers were gathered to create hype about the event. Celebrity influencers were tasked with posting a minimum of six posts for the duration of the campaign with each post including the hashtag #SlimeFestSA.

A team of influencers were specifically chosen based of their location and ability to attend the event. They were tasked with posting details & information about the event, encouraging attendance and live posting from the event. Influencers posted a minimum of four posts a day throughout the campaign, with the exception of eight posts each day under the hashtag #SlimeFest.
