Passing The Baton Conference was a workshop set up by the Oliver & Adelaide Tambo Foundation to allow young people to learn from those who learned from O.R. Tambo. The conference touched on topical issues in the fields of Ethics and Politics, Land Reform and Constitutionalism, The Media, SMMEs, and Arts and Culture.
The conference highlighted the role that the Tambo values–integrity, selflessness, humility, and mutual respect–played an essential role in a free South Africa. The inter-generational workshop brought together individuals who have benefited from Tambo’s expertise, guidance, and mentorship, who were to pass on their teachings to 300 young people between the ages of 1 and 35.
Duma Collective was brought on to provide the foundation with Event Consultancy, Social Media & Influencers, and Talent Procurement services. Duma Collective was tasked with managing the Oliver & Adelaide Tambo Foundation social media pages on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram leading up to the conference, and the event setup.
