Google Discovery Ads – A New Way To Create Brand Awareness.

Discovery ads are native ads that appear in multiple google feed environments. Discovery ads allow you to display one or more images that showcase your product or service. They are designed to grab people’s attention with interactive swipe-able content. This can be displayed on various platforms like Google shopping ads, YouTube ads and Discovery ads but this will rely on visual content to draw in viewers.

According to Google, discovery ads currently reach 800 million globally.   Discovery ads include 3 main placements online: the YouTube home feed, the Gmail Promotions and Social tabs, and the Google Discovery feed,which can be found beneath the Google search box on mobile devices and within the Chrome app.

What do Discovery ads look like:

  • Headline (40 characters max)
  • Description (90 characters max)
  • Multiple image assets with at least one landscape (1.91:1)
  • Square logo
  • Business name (25 characters max)
  • CTA (selected from a drop-down menu)
