ZOOM OPENS PLATFORM FOR PAID EVENTS WITH ONZOOM APP

For the longest time Zoom was used for meetings and was one of the most used tools during the pandemic, according to ‘The Verge’it revealed that Zoom had surpassed 300 million Zoom daily meeting participants. With these numbers Zoom went on to create an application called ‘OnZoom’.

OnZoom, the new platform under Zoom is all about simplifying how you deliver virtual events, reach new audiences, and engage with your customers, allowing users to schedule and monetize virtual events. Another advantage of this is that small businesses can get the opportunity to market their enterprise.

Among these other great news Zoom announced integrations of third-party apps such as Zapps into Zoom’s software which will be free for now, from slack and other online tools. Zapps will launch with 35 partners that will ship by the end of the year such as Slack. Third party applications that integrate into Zoom’s existing workflow will benefit consumers as users will easily have access to information and can collaborate while on video calls.

SOME OTHER KEY POINTS ABOUT ONZOOM:
  • OnZoom is available on PC and Smartphone.
  • Content of events are moderated by AI (Artificial Intelligence) before being published and customers can report bad behavior.
  • Organizers can hold events for free or ask attendees to donate to specific non-profits if they wish.
  • Tickets can be sold for events with up to 1000 attendees.
  • Users can share and promote public events via email and social media.

The app will be available worldwide in 2021 and will make it easier for consumers to find virtual events in a whole range of categories from cooking classes, lecturers to stand-up shows.
